Sheba Jones Dillon is an Irish, Sligo-based artist who finds constant inspiration in the untamed magic of Sligo’s coastline. Her vibrant watercolours and encaustic art are the result of much observation and reflection. The palette she uses range from earthy and ethereal to the wildly passionate.
Sheba’s paintings celebrate life, whether it is the elemental energy of Sligo’s coast or her disarming portraits which capture people and their beloved pets with natural ease.
“Living in Strandhill has gifted me with a ringside seat of Benbulben, Knocknarea and the Atlantic Ocean, and their many moods. The power of waves and beauty of nature mesmerise me, the awareness of the power that guides them guides us too.
I feel that, we as humans, are invited to tune into the possibilities that await us each new day”.
Sheba has exhibited her work at various galleries including the Teach Ban Gallery in Drumcliffe, the Weir Gallery and the WB Yeats Society in Sligo.
Sheba sells her artwork in both original form, giclee prints and cards. She uses as many Irish products as possible.
Giclee prints are gallery standard and UV resistant.
